Overview

Earlier, client centers (CCs) can order any item from a lab's inventory, regardless of necessity. Since CCs usually require inventory linked to their assigned tests, we are introducing a feature to restrict orders to only the inventories mapped to tests in their test list.

Feature Implementation

A new toggle option, "Restrict Inventory based on Tests Assigned", has been added.

  1. When enabled, CCs can only order inventory items linked to tests in their assigned test list.

  2. This restriction ensures that unnecessary inventory is not ordered, reducing errors and improving efficiency.

How It Works

  1. Navigate to Org Stock Management → Organisation Settings.

  2. Enable the toggle "Restrict Inventory based on Tests Assigned".

  3. Once enabled, CCs will only see inventory items mapped to their assigned test list when placing orders via Inventory Management → Place New Order.

Additional Configurations

  • To restrict billing of tests assigned to an organization, disable "Price List with Default Test" in Registration Settings → Advanced Settings.

Expected Outcome

  • CCs can only order required inventory items.

  • Labs gain better control over inventory usage.

  • Reduces errors in inventory ordering.

Status & Updates

  • Functionality tested successfully on e2e for Lab 19.

  • Feature is set to go live by April 1, 2025.
