Feature Overview
We’ve enhanced the barcode printing functionality in the system to allow multiple barcodes to be printed per sample. This helps streamline workflows where more than one barcode label is needed—especially for vial-based processing.
The number of barcodes printed will now be configurable via Accession Settings.
Configuration Options
You can configure the barcode count in Accession Settings → Barcode Settings using the following two modes:
1. Same as Vial Count
In this mode, the system prints barcodes based on the vial quantity for each sample.
➤ Condition 1: Max Sample Quantity is defined
✅ If vial quantity is already added:
→ Automatically prints that many barcodes (no prompt shown).✅ If vial quantity is not yet added:
→ Prompts user to enter vial quantity during the first print action.
→ Stores the input and uses it for all future print actions for that sample.
Bulk Print Support Available For:
Collect & Print All
Print All
Receive & Print All
➤ Condition 2: Max Sample Quantity is NOT defined
Prompts the user to define the maximum sample quantity per vial before each print action.
Single barcode will be printed in this scenario.
Bulk Print Support Not Available
2. Ask When Printing
Every time the barcode is printed, the system will prompt the user to enter the number of barcodes.
No reference to vial count is made in this case.

Note:
To use this feature, the client’s interfacing app must be updated. Without this update, the functionality will not work as expected. Please coordinate with the Interfacing Team to ensure the app is updated accordingly.
