Purpose:
This updated workflow helps labs easily link a diagnostic package (profile) from a parent center to one or more child centers within a multi-center LIMS setup. It ensures a step-by-step, user-friendly process with better visibility and control.

What’s a Profile?

A profile is a set of diagnostic tests bundled together — commonly referred to as a "package" — such as a Full Body Checkup or Diabetes Panel.

This feature allows you to share these packages across child centers without recreating them from scratch.

Step-by-Step Workflow

1️⃣ Select Child Centers

  • Start by choosing the child centers where you want the profile to be linked.

  • You can select one or many centers at once.

2️⃣ Validation Check (System-Driven)

  • The system automatically checks whether all tests in the profile already exist in the selected child centers.

  • This ensures the package can be properly recreated.

3️⃣ Handle Missing Tests

  • If any tests from the profile are missing in a child center:

    • The system shows a list of missing tests per center.

    • You’ll get an option to auto-create those tests directly from this screen — saving you the hassle of manual creation.

4️⃣ Link Profile

  • Once all required tests are available in the selected child centers:

    • You can now proceed to link the profile to those centers.

    • This ensures consistency in package structure across centers.

5️⃣ Show Linking Progress

  • You’ll see a real-time status or progress bar for each selected center.

  • A success message appears once linking is complete.

6️⃣ Assign Update Rights (Optional)

  • For each successfully linked center:

    • You can enable a checkbox to allow that child center to update the profile in the future.

    • This provides flexibility and decentralized control where needed.

7️⃣ Handle Failures Gracefully

  • If linking fails for any center:

    • The system will show detailed failure reasons (e.g., test conflicts, permissions).

    • You’ll also see a Retry button to attempt linking again after resolving issues.
