What is this feature?


This setting gives parent labs control over how they want to manage inventory across multiple centres. It allows them to choose between a centralised view (all centres together) or a single-centre view with bulk action support.

Where is this setting found?

  • Login: Parent Lab Login

  • Location: Go to Settings → Inventory Settings

  • Setting Name: Allow multi center actions

How does it work?

  • If setting is ON (enabled):

    • Multi-centre dropdown is visible.

    • User can view inventory across all centres.

    • Bulk actions will be disabled.

    • Use this if the lab wants a full view across centres but doesn’t need to take actions in bulk.

  • If setting is OFF (disabled):

    • Only single-centre view is available.

    • User must select a specific centre.

    • Bulk actions will be enabled for that centre.

    • Use this if the lab wants to approve or manage inventory items in bulk, centre by centre.

When to use this setting?

  • Use enabled state:

    • When the user wants to just view or analyse inventory across centres.

    • No need to perform bulk actions like approving multiple orders.

  • Use disabled state:

    • When the user needs to approve or process multiple items at once.

    • Works best when managing each centre individually.

Things to remember

  • This setting is only available in Parent Logins.

  • Non-parent labs will not see any change – their flow remains the same.

  • The setting affects all inventory sections: stock view, orders, approvals, and reports.
